Why a coach beats more videos

You already know more chess than your results show. The gap is in what happens at the board.

How we work

Find the leak, then drill it

Club players tend to study what's interesting rather than what's costing them points. Beautiful attacking games are fun to watch; losing on time in a drawn rook ending is not, and that's where the rating actually goes.

Coaching flips that. We look at your losses first, find the two or three patterns behind them, and build the whole plan around those. It's less glamorous, and it works faster.

You'll also stop collecting openings. One small repertoire you know well beats five you half-remember, and it frees the study time for tactics and endings.

Our principles

Three beliefs behind the method

Your games come first

Every plan starts with your losses, not with a syllabus.

Twenty minutes a day

Short daily puzzles beat a three-hour session every other weekend.

Two leaks at a time

Fixing everything at once fixes nothing. We pick the two that cost most.
